Zoeyjane’s got panache? Being domestic and stuff.

Coveting: Daybed

With the size of my soon-to-be living room and the usual suspects to go in, I might be a little crowded. I mean to say that my approximately 150 square foot living room will resemble Tetris.

Which is kind of cool - a little too gamer for me, though.

I’ve currently a bookcase, queen-sized bed (that kills my back), door-sized desk, small dresser, coffee table, filing cabinet and TV to content with. Doesn’t sound too flexible, does it?

It occurred to me that since I’m sleeping alone, I could always downgrade to a pubescent twin-sized bed. How about one that might even double as a couch? Like a day bed?

My first lust object: simple, clean, boring, inexpensive and totally transferable to Isobel when the time comes for her to upgrade to a really big girl bed.

But for the time being, can’t you just picture it with soft chenille throws in deep shades of blue-green and teal? Then add into the fantasy about 10 toss cushions of varying textures and sizes, from silk to micro-suede, with a bit of a brighter green as a minor accent colour?

Futons, day bed (with or without trundle!), and fold out loveseats/couches are all great for tiny spaces!!

Love the colors!

I think a daybed is a great idea. And I’m loving the teal. Loving.

[...] The day bed. Sigh. I want it. I don’t know if I can get it, right away. I’m feeling some stress in the ‘future’ of my money department, so think it’s wise if I hold off until at least, I can save some money on delivery by having a friend go with me to the store. Or I could just get something different. But that might defeat the point. I’ll have to ask for opinons on this one. [...]
